Surely, I support what Orville David said here, ie that "it is sad to see but it seems to be a losing battle for the abstinence camp". The society seem to be silently leading its people to ruin, only to turn back and scream murder whenever something goes wrong. It seems every advert glorifies sex ans porn, while so called celebrities play the sex game like it is the most natural thing to be wantonly promiscuous.

Let parents do their work with the backing of society. Perhaps our younger generation may survive.

I was in service during the Vietnam Conflict and I was raped repeatedly and reported it to my superiors along with all the beatings that I sustained. Nothing was ever done because it cost a lot more to train a "flying member" of the USAF than a ground member, so I was told to get out of the USAF under hardship conditions because I had children at the time and it was my husband who was doing all the "abuse." He almost killed my youngest son prior to his birth and just afterwards. He was a sorry excuse for a husband and father.

I was considered disposable at the time. All the abuse that I suffered was ignored as your statistics reflect. I did not know that I was suffering from PTSD when I returned to the USAF 1 year later. The abuse continued in my workplace and with a new husband. I reported this one too. I guess I did not report it to the proper individual--HIS commander. Colonel "Dad" would have had his throat for harming me. His commander lived down the street from us.

I thought this was wonderful! I've always though of having a 'walking buddy' but didn't realize the overall impact on the quality of life it can have. I think I will make it a much higher priority now. Thanks Sheila!

I guess it really comes back to the point whether it is completely realistic to expect young people nowadays to abstain from sex altogether, given the glorified picture of sex everywhere in the media and the internet.

It is sad to see but it seems to be a losing battle for the abstinence camp.

Does your hotel have peep hole covers? After the incident with the ESPN reporter, every hotel room door should have a peep hole cover. They are inexpensive (example www.secureguest.net) and quality hotels are providing this basic security feature.

A home energy auditor can detect all these problem areas when evaluating a client's home. Everblue Training Institute offers a energy auditor course that certifies individuals after only 5 days. Everblue is also partnering with local companies to provide a 6-week internship for its BPI course graduates to shadow a season energy auditor. Not only will these experiences help you get a job, but energy auditing is one of the hottest jobs right now, for the reasons you have listed above. People are catching on to the fact that their homes are not as sustainable and energy efficient as they think. They just need some guidance from a professional on ways to enhance their home.
