Eduardo Waghorn es un músico, compositor y cantautor chileno. Su carrera comenzó allá por 1984, cuando contaba con 17 años y cursaba primer año de derecho en la Universidad de Valparaíso. Condujo varios programas de la radio Valentín Letelier, entrevistando otros músicos jóvenes, y presentando temas como Valparaíso brumoso, Tamara, Si dejara de pensar y Que sean los cardos. Fue telonero de músicos de renombre en ese tiempo, como Sol y Medianoche, Hugo Moraga, Rudy Wiedmaier , Eduardo Peralta y Payo Grondona, entre otros
Destaca por poseer la rara mezcla entre calidad y cantidad: registra a su haber más de 500 canciones, muchas de las cuales han sido calificadas como creaciones de gran belleza y una expresiva poesía. Ha recorrido todo Chile con iniciativas de difusión de la trova y el folclore latinoamericanos, y ha participado en numerosos festivales a lo largo de los años. En la década de los 90 recorrió varias provincias de Argentina dando a conocer sus melodías. El 2011 culminó una selectiva recopilación de su prolífera obra en su disco Muñeco de Trapo, calificado como su obra maestra, un disco claro y oscuro, liviano y duro, simple y complejo. Destacan los singles Sol , Si me hablaran las estrellas y el emblemático Muñeco de Trapo, canción que lleva el nombre del mismo disco. Postuló al festival de Viña del Mar 2012 con una versión orquestada y de influencia más pop: Yo me quedo en cada cosa.
En Agosto de 2011 fue invitado por la radio de la Cámara de Diputados de Chile a cantar sus canciones en el programa Producto Nacional, y en extensa entrevista relató parte de su trayectoria y proyectos. También ha sido invitado al conocido programa deRadio Universidad de Chile, “Zócalo Nacional”.En Septiembre de 2011 fue invitado por la Biblioteca de Valparaíso y por el Museo Histórico Nacional, a grabar sus canciones en un novedoso trabajo audiovisual, con el fin de difundir su música y al mismo tiempo promover las artes y el patrimonio del Chile colonial.Su estilo se ha definido como “una mezcla de trova, pop y folk”. Sus letras pueden ser dulces y ácidas a la vez. Sus melodías se alternan con gran dinamismo entre la simplicidad y lo complejo. Algunas de sus influencias musicales,según él mismo ha reconocido, son tan diversas como The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, Tom Jobim,Carole King, Silvio Rodríguez, Víctor Jara, Sui Generis y Nicola di Bari, entre otras.

Postulated to Viña del Mar Festival 2012 with a full orchestra and pop influence: I’m into everything.
In August 2011 he was invited by the radio of the Chamber of Deputies of Chile to sing his songs in the program national product, and extensive interview recounted part of his career and projects. He has been invited to the known program of Radio University of Chile, “National Socket.”
In September 2011 he was invited by the Library of Valparaiso and the National Historical Museum, to record his songs in a new audiovisual work, to spread his music and at the same time promote the arts and heritage of colonial Chile.
His style has been defined as “a mixture of trova, pop and folk.” His lyrics can be sweet and sour at once. His melodies alternate with great dynamism between simplicity and complexity. Some of his musical influences, as he himself acknowledged, are as diverse as The Beatles, Electric Light Orchestra, Tom Jobim, Carole King, Silvio Rodriguez, Victor Jara, Sui Generis and Nicola di Bari, among others.
