DREAMS: A BRIDGE TO HIGHER CONSCIOUSNESS

Dreams are alive. Rich with symbols, archetypes and metaphor, dreams are an invaluable healing instrument. When understood, dreams can be a pathway to higher consciousness, healed relationships and understanding your soul’s blueprint. This is an experiential course and class size is limited. San Luis Obispo Workshop Promises to Improve All Your Relationships by Changing How You Respond to Conflict
Would you like to respond more effectively to conflicts in your life? Would you like to be able to remain clear-headed in moments of intensity? Renowned NVC (NonViolent Communication) trainer John Kinyon shows you how at a rare weekend training this August 24-26 at the Sukha Wellness Center in Avila Beach. The workshop promises to create more choice and more serenity in your relationships and in everything you do. You will explore the phenomenon of getting “triggered” and develop a deeper awareness of your own habits in relation to conflict. Kinyon requests that you to bring any type of conflict to the workshop. One session will be devoted to conflicts in organizational settings. The Mediate Your Life workshop will teach:• how to stay clear-headed in conflict by being present to the instinct to fight-flight-freeze• how to prepare yourself for navigating difficult conversations• how to give empathy as a means for building understanding and personal resilience• how to use these skills to turn conflicts into opportunities for connection

An experiential education program. The curriculum includes inspiring examples of sustainable land use and human ingenuity from around the world...
We begin the training with the ethics of earthcare and and in-depth look at the natural world. We move from natural patterns to learning innovative techniques to solve local and global issues of food, water, shelter, energy and more. Hands-on training will include many facets of sustainable farming & gardening and also construction of a cob oven. The course concludes with the patterns & principles applied to EcoVillage Design and Economic Development. Final Design work is presented before the Course culminates with a community celebration.
The teaching team is led by Larry Santoyo and includes other leaders in the world-wide sustainability movement, such as:

Farm-fresh meals from here and other local farms will be included.

MEDITATIONINTRO WORKSHOP  
Greetings, friends—
Our schedule of nurturing events continues and expands in July. On Sunday, July 1, we’ve scheduled a guided meditation, lunch provided by NYS, and a hike. All we need to know is, are you coming? Tell Ginny (ginnyco7@gmail.com) or me (RuthCherryPhD@aol.com) by Friday. This will be a fun, relatively unstructured day so your family and friends are welcome. $15 At 11:30 we’ll do a guided meditation in the hall, then a scrumptious lunch, and then an exploratory hike. Ginny will point out seasonal developments.
Our guided meditation groups continue on Saturdays at 10:00 and Mondays at noon at Unity, 1490 Southwood, SLO. Everyone is welcome. Donations are accepted but not expected. We will meet Monday, July 2.
On Saturday, July 21, we’re planning a super Nurture Your Soul day at Lopez Lake dedicated to knowing Your Magnificent Self. Of course, we’ll do guided meditation, hike, eat lunch provided by NYS, play with the other magnificent beings in the room, and follow our own inspirational imagery for ongoing empowerment.
